Our aim is to vaccinate, sterilise and save as many street animals as possible and ultimately to find homes for these Ballady (native Egyptian) dogs and cats with families who will love and care for them.
Unfortunately, being located in a third world country where animal cruelty is common, dogs, in particular, are tortured, abused and maimed by the locals. Periodically the government will send out workers to feed meat which has been poisoned with strychnine to the dogs - a slow and painful death.
As a small rescue mission, our financial resources are scarce, we struggle to find the funds to feed, vaccinate, spay and find forever homes for all the strays in our care.
It is a difficult time for us all but we hope that those who love and care about animals can help. Every penny you can give counts and goes towards a better life for these beautiful, intelligent and friendly dogs and cats.
We will always update you on how your money has been used and - if you want - we can send pictures and further updates on any dog or cat you particularly want to help or sponsor. You can see our story and the journey of many of the stray animals we have rescued on our Facebook page.
Sadly we can't change the world but we can change THEIR world.
Lend a helping paw.
