Daphne’s Volunteer Adventure in Fiji

I have decided to take a gap year after graduation before I continue my education and volunteer in a special needs school in Fiji! I am a Speech Language Pathology major and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity that will be extremely beneficial to my future. I will be living in Lautoka, Fiji with a host family for 13 weeks this fall, volunteering about 8 hours a day. I am also doing a small remote island teaching project for a short duration of the trip. The special needs school in Lautoka cares for children and young adults with learning disabilities, physical and intellectual impairments, and who are Deaf or hard of hearing. I am extremely excited to go to Fiji and contribute to this program! Thank you so much for any support you may have contributed!
