Daniel’s Closet A Single Parent Community Thrift Store

Hello My name is Daniel Dottry.

I am a Preacher at a small Church, Spiritual Church of God. We are located at 400 George Albert Lake Road in Anderson, SC.

There is an increasing numbers of fathers in this single parent situation. I know from experience how hard it is to raise and provide for your children on your own. I have been in that position and raised my 3 alone.

I am trying to raise funds to open a Thrift Store dedicated to Helping Single Parents in my area. I will also need part of the funding to file for a Not For Profit Business.

Thrift shops are excellent resources for finding second hand treasures. These can be clothing, household merchandise, and even small appliances.

A single parent knows how it important it is to save money whenever possible. There are luxuries a mother or father will learn to live without, and when it comes to necessities, he or she learns quickly where to look to find the best deals. Children often outgrow their clothes so quickly that there is barely any time for the clothes to become worn.

Many Children spend only a few minutes a day with their single parent. From Sales at The Thrift Shop we will be able to provide a Special outing one weekend a month for parents and their children Free of Charge. In addition, we will help provide single parents in our area with Day Care expenses, Emergency Funds for food, bills, free clothing, beds as funds and merchandise permits.

We will also accept food donations for our food pantry.

I have been buying merchandise out of my own pocket, so I have merchandise to start setting up the store.

I have found a building that will be suitable for our needs with room to grow. The Building is 4000 sq ft and $70,000.00. We will need to do some remodeling & repairs.
