Dance dream for special needs kids

Carpe Diem George Dance Group.

My name is Cyan Scholtz, I am currently 16 years old and have a passion and love for the performing arts. I have been acting, dancing, singing, playing music and modelling for the last 10 years. I have been competing in competitions to promote my love for performing arts and have recently competed at Talent Africa and achieved the title Senior Face of Talent Africa 2019.

With this Title I would like to promote the performing arts and help other contestants compete that are unfortunate and/or are of special needs to make their dreams come true as well. I recently represented the SA team in America and took part in Talent America. It was an amazing experience and just made my passion and love for performing arts grow even stronger.

I would like to appeal to anyone that can help me raise funds for a group of youngsters dear to my heart. They are a group of kids, with disabilities some in wheelchairs that has made it through to compete at a competition Nationally called the “Dans in jou Taal” competition (translates Dance in your Language). The competition will be televised.

These competitors needs to fly to Pretoria from George, a 2 hour flight as they are unable to travel by road due to disabilities and other complications. I therefore appeal that anyone that can make a contribution no matter how big or small please help raise R25 000, some of the funds that is necessary to get these 21 kids at the competition in Pretoria by airplane.

However, should we not raise enough for flights, they will still go compete by traveling by bus.

Some of the other costs will include -

• Hiring of a bus

• Fuel

• Food

• Accommodation in Bloemfontein for two nights due to difficulties etc.

• Uniform including t-shirts and jeans

• Food during this traveling period in and around competition in Johannesburg

• Accommodation sponsored in Johannesburg

• Money for a outing while in Johannesburg.

The competition takes place on the 31st of August 2019, so not much time to get these funds raised.

Lets stand together and get these kids an opportunity of a lifetime to perform on Television at a National competition and show the world their talents.
