Love at First Skype: The Wedding of Dana and Nicola

Nicola and I met on a dating website in July 2014. I remember saying to my friends that I was "giving up on men" the week before. Well I guess giving up was what it took because that's when I found the love of my life. The problem was he was across the Atlantic in a small town in Northern Italy. Our eyes met for the first time through Skype and oh how we desired to be together. We had never been in the same room and yet we knew we were meant for each other. We Skyped every chance we got and when we weren't staring at each other through a computer screen we were chatting on messenger back and forth as though we were in the same room. I like to tell people that our first date was moving in together for a month and a half...because its true! Finally after five months we got to see each other for the first time! We were in love. We've said goodbye at the airport five times... a pain that I can only describe as feeling as though my heart and lungs stayed with him each and every time. It never got easier, it only got worse. We finally decided that we could no longer stand the pain of separation. Now we have filed all the paperwork, paid all the fees and he is coming home to stay!! We are getting married this summer and we need help! All of this traveling back and forth and him not able to work in the US yet has taken its toll. We hope to fly his Mamma here for her only sons wedding and my caretaker salary isn't going to cut it. Many thanks in advance for anything anyone can give!!
