Dan Rempel Fundraiser

Up until a little over a year ago, Dan Rempel was a young hard working family man, supporting his five kids and loving wife.  He had his whole life ahead of him. That is until January 23, 2012 when he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer.  Now without specialized treatment he is diagnosed as terminal, and will have to leave his family and the life that could have been behind.

Throughout the summer of 2011 the Rempel family had big plans and dreams in motion as they were in the process of building a new family home.  This was a very stressful time both emotionally and financially on the family and was especially hard on Dan.  He started not feeling well and had an inkling that something wasn’t right, but brushed it off as being stress related.  Finally in the winter of 2011 he couldn’t ignore the health problems any longer and went in to his family health practitioner. He was put through a battery of tests including ultrasound, CT scan, and colonoscopy as well as thorough blood work.  Finally he had the news that changed his life forever.  Advanced Colon Cancer.

For the next year Dan sought out natural remedies and holistic therapies to treat his disease.  He and his wife Nadine had done extensive research and felt that this was the right path for them.  They didn’t know how long Dan may have, and they didn’t want him to be sick during that time from traditional western medicine treatments like Chemotherapy and radiation. Within 2012 with the support of family and friends, Dan and Nadine where able to finish their dream home where they had dreams of raising their family and growing old together.  Now that dream is being taken away and time is running out.

The cancer has now metastasized into Dan’s liver.  He is extremely weak and has little energy.  He has a hard time with day to day tasks and even playing with his young kids is difficult.  The cancer is now so advanced that Dr.’s say he wouldn’t survive traditional therapies, and is not a candidate for surgery, chemotherapy or radiation.  They have told him he only has a few months to live without a miracle.

We feel we found that miracle.  Dan and Nadine as well as close friends have been doing as much research as possible on private specialized clinics all over the world.  They have been in contact recently with these clinics and have went down for consultations.  They have been given a chance and hope.  Through very individual and specialized treatments and therapies they feel this is Dan’s only hope of recovery.  Without these treatments he will not live to see his youngest daughter, Mia, turn two.  Unfortunately these treatments are very expensive, and all of the savings have been eaten up over the last year since Dan has been unable to work and through all the additional medical costs.  Time is of the absolute essence. He needs to start these treatments immediately.  Cost of these treatments is upwards of $100,000.00.  They need help to raise these funds as quickly as possible.

Dan is only 28 years old.  His wife Nadine is 26.  They have five beautiful children. Michelle – 8, Julian-6, Fiona – 3, Kenley – 2, and little baby Mia is 1.  This family needs as much help and support as we can get.  Please open up your hearts and help save this man’s life and the future of his family.
