Damon and the B.A.R. Program

     Family, friends, bar colleagues, and charitable donors, as you may know, I have been accepted to the B.A.R. (Beverage Alcohol Resource) program this year.

     For those of you who have not heard of it, the B.A.R. program is equivalent to a sommelier course in spirits and craft bartending. Held at the Astor center in NYC for 5 days of intensive workshops, the B.A.R. only accept 36 applicants a year. It is recognized across the nation and the world as one of the best educational programs in the field.

     Unfortunately, with summer being our most financially troublesome time of the year here in South Florida, I am having a difficult time amassing sufficient funding. Also, because of the short time I have been in Miami, in the U.S. for that matter, I have not been able to network with a brand or any other entity to help me fund it.
