Dak’s Dream: A New Realty Business

Hello, my name is Dak Mills. As a new entrepreneur, I am looking to begin the next phase of my career and life, creating a new and better business for tomorrow. With your help, through donations and support, I am hoping to move forward, as Thoreau said, living the life I imaged, despite adversity.

A little over a year ago, I lost a very important man in my life, my father. Always the life of the party, he always knew how to put a smile on your face. The loss of a parent is one of the most difficult things a person can go through. His passing made me realize that life is too short to be taken for granted and to not pursue dreams, even though one’s buried deep is inside of us.

I have always had a passion for Real Estate, but always lack the funds to support my passion. I was effected by the economic downturn and have been burden with student loans ever since. I was able to save some income from having multiple jobs while in and out of school. With the passing of my father, I moved from Orlando, Florida, to New York City, earned my Real Estate license, and realize I wanted to start my own Investment Group.

This is my dream, awakened and realized. Now, I am looking to create a new company , through your contributions, this could become a reality.

Let me share the company I plan to build and how exactly your contributions can help:

After talking to some time to understand the industry, I have decided I want to create a Real Estate Investment Group where I can purchase 4 distressed properties to create shelters for the homeless & veterans of New York City.

I already have a team in place for rehab work, if needed on the properties. This funding would be seed money to launch my company and create future growth and success. It would break down as follows:

Startup Operational Cost/Advertising - 30%
Training, Education, & License Fees - 5%
Property Investments-65%

My goal is to be fully funded or at least 50% funded by March 5th 2016, but in reality it will be an ongoing effort until my goal is reached. This would be a life changing experience for me and would allow me to make a difference for others as well.
