Dad’s Indeed

I want to support local Dads to unlock their parenting potential in a country where there are almost no services or resources for single fathers. Being a single dad is a serious balancing act, there is a huge responsibility placed on fathers, and there are many fathers giving their all to their children. I applaud them, and understand that sometimes it gets lonely. I want single fathers to know that they are appreciated, that is why I want to create "Dads Indeed" to support them to unlock all of their fatherhood potential.

To meet the needs of single dads, I want to provide a local service in terms of a 5-session intense parenting course in which I will host events, run a forum and online support service, provide resources and mentorship to other local fathers. I want to assist them writing court reports and assessments, (which are very costly) and provide much-needed counseling. Furthermore, there are a number of fathers who are isolated from their children. They face financial difficulties and if we can support them to learn a number of new skills, this will improve their lives , thus offering the best outcome for the children and the family as a whole.

My course will define parenting, offer a parenting assessment so that Dads understand their parenting style, child development, safety and risks, the keys to success and a practical lesson in play, communication and education.

Please help me raise enough money to support the single Dads of South Africa, through "Dads Indeed", so that this project can become self-sustaining and dads can enjoy parenting their children with a full tool box of essential skills.
