18 January, 1788

After six months sailing across the worlds oceans, the first fleet had finally arrived in Botany Bay.
"Paradise", whispered Cook to himself. Turning to his Lieutenant, Captain Cook continued, "We've done it Watson. Let's set up camp."

So they started with the camp, before anything, clearing a round space for a cricket oval. Days turned to months, weeks to years...

Some 228 years later, Watson's great, great, great, great grandson Richard, stood feeding birds from his lookout in McMahon's Point. He stood and watched the boats of Sydney Harbour sailing under the Australian sun.

Richard stretched out his hand to the lads, as he liked to refer to his chirpy, winged friends and said:

'A man can only dream'.

True story.

Make a contribution towards Dad's life-long, and so far unfulfilled dream of having a sailing boat!
