My Dad suffered a heart attack earlier this month (May) in Dubai and is now currently in a deep coma in hospital out there with significant brain damage. We know now he only has potentially a week to live the rest of his life. But we need to bring him back to the UK and cover his funeral costs and arrangements. In the slight chance there is a miracle we will still need to fund his medical bills.Unfortunately we cannot fund all of this and subsequently cannot provide enough money for my family to live off at this moment in time. My Family would be grateful of any donations made as it would be a stepping stone towards bringing my dad back to where he belongs here in England.
DAD WAS LIED TO ABOUT MEDICAL INSURANCE. THE COMPANY ASSURED HIM HE WAS COVERED.HE WAS SENT VARIOUS EMAILS CONFIRMING HE WAS COVERED .WE FOUND OUT THIS IS NOT THE CASE AND DAD HAD NO MEDICAL INSURANCE THE DAY HE STEPPED FOOT IN DUBAI.
The current medical bills are DH138,000 which is £22,323 and a quote for the air ambulance is £100,000 with the final quote being delivered to us 26/04.
This is the podcast for mums radio interview.
This is the newspaper article about dad.
My father is now severely brain damaged & only a ventilator is breathing for him.
As his heart is still beating the law in Dubai states that he still has to medically be supported by thehospital.
The private hospital his company took him to have stopped paying all the medical bills.
They are now demanding we pay for everything relating to dad.
My mother is travelling around Dubai in several taxis begging the government hospitals to take him in for his last few remaining days.
The hospitals are reluctant to take Dad, "a severely brain damaged patient" as it effects their mortality figures.
She's also gone to a few charities in Dubai to ask for help .
At the moment the company will not pay for expatriation of my father's body when it's necessary.
Current Hospital Bills at DH98,000 £15847
We currently have on going medical bills of £10,000 outstanding & every day it costs us £2,500 for daily hospital bills.
Currently dad in his state we do have the option of flying him home but that would cost us £45-£50,000 in an ICU Air Ambulance.
Therefore every day it is costing my mother money we simply do not have.
Now we desperately need money to cover all of the above.
ANY DONATIONS WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Sadly Dad passed away on Sunday 24th May at 10.30pm. We'd like to thank you for all your
contributions so far, funds already collected will now go to bringing Dad home and any other unforeseen payments.
We are most grateful for your generosity.
Much love, Christine, Edward and George.
