Sacramento needle exchange catering to midtown Sacramento. I have started a needle exchange for those in need in the midtown area. I have been operating for 2 years with no funding, surviving off donations that are nearly non-existant. While waiting for my 5013(c) to be approved, I would like to finally set up a permanant location with the means to safely, discreetly, and respectfully house my grass roots charity. The goal is to offer resources that would otherwise be unavailable to those in need to make an educated decision about their personal drug use. Offering courses in drug prevention for youths, informative, non biased information for current users and safety tips for active users is one of the goals aside from just exchanging needles. Being a referral service for those in need of shelter, food, rehabilitation, and medical directives is another desired goal. Having a small staff of trusted volunteers that are certified and trained in various related fields, in addition to access to a working office, is essential for this goal to be brought to life. I will update this soon with correct phrasing, adequate information about goals and expand on all topics later when the business plan can be converted to text on here.
