Dear friends, dear sisters, dear brothers,

I have no doubt that we have all been deeply affected by an incident that no one in our country could have imagined. A natural disaster that devastated villages in southern Moravia and deprived hundreds of people of their homes and, unfortunately, some of their most cherished belongings, was something we were used to seeing only in catastrophic films until recently. Sadly, this is no longer the case. The footage you see on the internet is not from a disaster movie. The people describing their fight for life are not actors. Everything you see has happened for real. The damage is enormous and some of it will never be repaired.

Now, together, we can help the people who really need it. But we need the help of all of you. We're not forcing anyone to help. But we are asking you to see yourselves in the situation of those who have lost everything in a small moment. I'm sure you would be grateful if someone would give you a helping hand. Even a small contribution can help people eventually forget, even if some of the wounds they have suffered never heal. Let's help them get back to life.

The money are going to be redirected to the charity "People in Need" (Czech Republic).

Vážení přátelé, vážené sestry, vážení bratři,

Nepochybuji, že všichni jsme byli hluboce zasaženi událostí, kterou si v našich končinách nikdo nedokázal představit. Přírodní pohromu, která zdevastovala vesnice na jižní Moravě a připravila stovky lidí o domov a některé bohužel i o to nejcennější, jsme donedávna byli zvyklí vídat jen v katastrofických filmech. Bohužel toto už neplatí. Záběry, které vídáte na internetu, nejsou z katastrofického filmu. Lidé, kteří popisují svůj boj o život, nejsou herci. Vše, co vidíte, se doopravdy stalo. Škody jsou obrovské a některé se již nikdy nepodaří nahradit.

Nyní společně můžeme pomoci lidem, kteří to doopravdy potřebují. Ale potřebujeme pomoc vás všech. Nenutíme nikoho k pomoci. Avšak žádáme vás, abyste se vžili do situace těch, kteří v malé chvíli přišli o všechno. Zajisté byste byli vděční, kdyby vám někdo podal pomocnou ruku. I nepatrný příspěvek může pomoci lidem nakonec zapomenout, i když se některé šrámy, které utrpěli, nikdy nezhojí. Pomozme jim vrátit se zpět do života.

Peníze budou přeposlány charitativní organizaci "Člověk v tísni".
