Cynthia & Darren’s Dream Honeymoon!

Dear family and friends,

We're so happy and excited to celebrate this next step in our lives with you. Thank you for the advice, for just listening, and the texts of encouragement. This night is about how grateful we are to have you in our lives. You remind us of how lucky we are to have loving and caring people in our lives and to be in a position to make things better.

Our Story

On a cold November evening in 2014, we both took a chance on each other and met at Peking Tavern in downtown LA after emailing online. We were both nervous, but as our night progressed, it just felt right and comfortable. We talked about everything that night from our shared love of hair bands and sports to our jobs, friends, and family.

Cynthia - The first thing I remember from meeting Darren for the first time was that he was late! Not a good start. But, then he made up for it. I remember his huge smile and his infectious energy when he introduced himself. He looked so genuinely excited and the conversation was vibrant. He's tough, passionate, and goes through life with idealism and confidence.

Darren - When I first met Cynthia, she didn't look too happy. I didn't know if she was shy or mad at me at that time, but we all know now how she really felt about me being late. :) Right from the start, I knew Cynthia was different in a good way because of how she carried herself. She made me feel at ease with her natural, genuine smile. I knew I could be myself in front of her. She had honest, well-thought out opinions on everything we talked about that night and inspired me to think differently and look at things from perspectives that I hadn't seen before.

Both our lives were very complete independently, but being together has made our lives more meaningful, a little easier, a lot more exciting, and more fun!

Santa Barbara, here we come! We're looking forward to enjoying delicious food, beautiful scenery, and great weather!
