Cycling 125km for The Treehouse Project

Alexia and Sarah are taking on a whopping 125km ride - the Brighton 'Capel Monster' - on Saturday 30th June. It'll be the most either of us has ever cycled in a day. Why, you might ask, have we taken this on, when (for my part) I rarely even manage to motivate myself to ride the 8km to work these days?

We are raising money for the Holy Cross Hospital which provides highly specialised rehab for 40 people with extremely complex needs caused by profound injury or a serious neurological condition. The bike ride is being organised by family and friends of loved ones receiving care in this hospital to raise money for a walkway and viewing platform into the surrounding woodland so that patients will be able to enjoy the fresh air, sights, sounds and smells of the outdoors.

Engineers and other professionals have already committed their time to the project, and friends and families have been busy raising money towards materials. There’s just £10K left to raise.

When we heard about The Treehouse Project we really wanted to get involved and help the wonderful people who initiated it to make it happen.
