“Cut the corner” base

Our activity
Organizing active hikes on foot, bicycles and water for us, friends and everyone whose blood runs faster than an eye blink. We’re always open to proposals, ideas and advice.

Our philosophy
We are an active chemical element made of a wide range of people - workmen, students and pupils. Most often we can be found wandering in nature, unusual places and in small quantities, but extremely active and discharging high quantities of positive atomic emotions. “Kertam kampą” (meaning in english is “Cut the corner”) title emerged from the best of our travel experiences. This is a slogan of discovery which leads us where no trails exist as all destinations have secret places to find. This is also a slogan which invites to improvise, celebrate unexpected discoveries and be passionate for unusual adventures while together immersing into subtle and cohesive world of nature. We pull out homebodies and children from their screens while organizing educational programmes, cognitive hikes and unleashing nature to them.

Living the dream
A few years ago we challenged ourselves again by having a goal to create travelers homestead where every travelly soul can have a free stay. A part of this goal is also to organise youth camps, make summer and winter paths and water routes for hikers, cyclists and kayakers. It is a unique project in Lithuania and maybe even in Baltic states. The homestead is established in a small town Guntauninkai, eastern Lithuania. Next year the community “Kertam kampą” is celebrating 10th anniversary and we want to open up the homestead to wider public. We go there very often and do a lot of things with our own bare hands, but there are things which cost a lot and we are asking for your help. With our voluntary investments this project could drag on for a long time, but we are here to ask for your financial support which could help us to advance the project and reach our goals much quicker.
