Help me get a better lens for my dslr so i can continue my hobby

Hi there my name is Mihai i'm from Bucharest, Romania .I'm currently using a canon 77d.I do this as a hobby for fun i don't sell my photos and don't get any money out of it . I like taking portrait photos and landscapes ( landscapes photos a bit more the portraits) , i'm currently using a cheap 1.8 50mm canon lens also called the nifty fifty . I want to buy a new ore used Canon EF 17-40 f/4L ore Canon EF 16-35 f/4L so i can take better landscapes photos with a much wider view.

The price range for them is between 900-1250 Euros (NEW) and USED 450-700Euros . i'll be happy if i can get a used one in good working order .
