Campaign Story
Capetown is cold...extremely cold. The Barons in Maitland have embarked on cooking and serving the homeless once every second week from the little they have. But this is not enough nor sustainable as the cold intensifies. With all the pots they have served, they have done pretty well. But they need to continue with this initiative while aligning the homeless with government resources to help them going forward. This is not the only initiative they are planning to do, with a high number of street children in Capetown undetected they are planning to have at least one week empowerment activities while assisting social development to detect and place children in safety. For these programmes to take place they also need basic resources.

No one deserves to sleep hungry. As some of us has the luck and comfortability of being in the comfort of our own homes under dry blankets we have many homeless families in Cape Town. Therefore I hope that my contribution puts a smile on the face of someone and fills the hunger morning, afternoon or evening pang. #Keepahomelessfamilysmiling
