The need for the development of pedestrian tourism in Ukraine is explained by such three main factors:
mass unemployment, social tensions in a society that leads to a depressed state of people, diseases and a reduction in the average period of life;
economic crisis, which leads to the inaccessibility of medicine, sports and fitness measures;
an increase in the number of divorces families and the number of single people who require socialization.
Weekend hiking has such advantages:
no need for special physical training - as a rule, hiking have an average level of complexity, so all age categories of tourists can work;
improving effect - walks on fresh air have a beneficial effect on the state of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems of the body, contribute to strengthening the musculoskeletal system;
affordable cost - if you go on such a trip, you will save on the hotel's room rate and lunch in restaurants, as this type of active recreation involves spending the night in tents and cooking in the field;
opportunities to fully enjoy the picturesque landscapes, to visit interesting places and see unusual natural and culture objects.
Scientists analyzed eight studies, in which 314 volunteers participated. It turned out that ordinary walking is an effective remedy against depression and has the same effect as exercises that require a lot of energy. The advantage of fast walking is that it can be used by most people. This is a very simple exercise that does not require financial costs, and it can easily be made part of your lifestyle, the researchers say.
Walking on foot is a great way to calm down and get a positive, say scientists from the School of Psychiatry at the Royal University of Sweden. They attracted to their experiments middle-aged women, leading a sedentary lifestyle, who underwent a series of psychological and intellectual tests. Each of the ladies was prescribed a certain number of steps per day. A few weeks later the tests were repeated. It was found that the more women had hiking, the less they had signs of depression, the better they coped with stress and quickly solved various intellectual problems!

Motor activity significantly reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease. And even if a person already has, for example, hypertension, the movement will reduce the level of pressure and, as a result, save on medicines.
Active people have lower total blood cholesterol, which means lower risk of atherosclerosis, ischemic heart disease and heart attack. If the balance of consumed and consumed energy is optimal, then there will be no obesity and its constant companion - diabetes.
And most importantly - physical activity brings a lot of pleasure. This is not a boring and it can not be called hard work, because the movement produces "hormones of joy" - endorphins. And they help fight chronic fatigue and depression.
