UPDATE
Linux Australia decided to retire the remaining debt on the TBL downunder tour (see email). This page will therefore stop taking donations by the end of Feb 7th (US time). We are incredibly thankful to the community and to Linux Australia to get behind this effort with such amazing support! Thank you!
Background
More than 5,500 individuals have had the rare privilege to see Sir Tim Berners-Lee in person during his visit to Australia and New-Zealand over the last weeks and many thousands tuned into the live streams of the talks. What an amazing event for the region!
But now it's up to us to contribute back.
We were made aware that a sponsor of the trip pulled out leading up to the tour. This has left the tour with a $20K gap in the budget. This is a perfect opportunity to show our community spirit and help!
We ask you to consider contributing what you think this tour has been worth to you personally and to Australia. If just 1000 individuals donate $20 each, we can cover this shortfall. Become a supporter now and show them what our region is capable of!
