Another relapse of our brave bundle of joy Sigmund on his Crohns Disease. So far, this is the second severe relapse he had. This time, he has anemia secondary to intestinal bleeding and also his heart is affected, as he is experiencing bradycardia (low heart rate) and hypotension (low blood pressure). His colostomy output started to show blood since 16 October and we tried to manage at home and by keeping in constant communication with his doctor in Davao City. Then on 19 October, we decided to admit him in the nearby hospital in our locality in Mati. However, the bleeding still persists, his doctors asked us to transfer him to Davao City for further management and care. Three units of blood already transfused to address the anemia and a lot of laboratories and diagnostic work ups were run to rule out the heart issues. He is managed by three different doctors to address different issues brought by Crohns. One of the doctors is planning to do his infusion of Infliximab as soon as possible while we are still admitted, after the stool culture result is out. This Infliximab treatment he regularly do every 8 weeks in the same facility. Where he is prescribed to consume 2 vials every treatment and each vial is costing 26,500 pesos plus other related medical fees. All medications and management are still on going.

With the above, we are once again humbly knocking your generous hearts for any blessings you can share to Sigmund. This is to pay our increasing hospital bills. For the time being our outstanding is 56,000 pesos (from 19 October to present time) this is excluding doctors fee.

Since his medical condition is chronic and until now no known cure yet we often have hospitalizations like this (emergency) we also have daily and monthly medical expenses for his maintenance medications, hospital visits, laboratories and Infliximab infusions.

After 9 long years, I have already flown back home for good in the Philippines since last July 2019. It is very difficult for me as a mother to be miles away from my son. I am thankful to God that I am beside my son now hands on, taking care of him physically. It has made a lot of positive improvement, especially in his health status. Both me and my husband are now both working here in the Philippines, earning a little above the minimum wage, enough to sustain his daily and monthly maintenance and household needs.

Despite all these, we are grateful as ever because God is with us. We are holding on to His promises. He will not leave us nor forsake us. Please continue to pray for Sigmund's fast healing.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you can extend. God bless you!
