Croatia 2020 – Shannon – Euro Dance Fest Poreč

Hi my name is Jeanette and I am raising funds for my daughter, Shannon age 17, to give her the opportunity to represent South Africa in Croatia, April 2020.

Shannon started dancing at the age of 4, the same year she was fitted with her first set of hearing aids and she soon discovered, to be successful in what you are passionate about requires hard work and lots of dedication.

During the course of the last 13 years Shannon competed at several different competitions, always performing to the best of her ability.

July 2019, Shannon competed at Euro Dance Fest South Africa and was awarded a gold medal for each of her six solos as well as, a special award for the senior overall winner in the musical character category, qualifying her to represent South Africa, as part of Team Talent Africa, in Croatia April 2020 at Euro Dance Fest Poreč.

Shannon developed a love for the dramatics of the performing arts, especially musical theatre. April 2019, Shannon had the privilege of being one of about a hundred performers picked from over 2500 other talented performers as a cast member for, DREAMS The Musical Production, directed by Nicho Barnard and showcased in May 2019 at the Roodepoort Theatre in association with SAFATA (The South Africa Film, Acting & Theatre Academy), Windmill Production and Talent Africa. This experience made Shannon even more determined to become successful as a performer.

Performing at Euro Dance Fest Poreč in Croatia 2020 will not only make Shannon's dream of performing on the world stage come true, but will also take her a step closer in becoming a successful performer, proving that with hard work and dedication anything is possible.
