Watch this video, made by Dina Amer, an independent journalist who visited the refugee camp at Grande-Synthe. You'll understand the terrible conditions that refugees are enduring and how the independent volunteers are trying to make lives more bearable.
All the refugees in the camp are looking for is a place of safety and we need to support them both in the camp and if they reach the UK. The independent volunteers form strong bonds with the refugees and continue to support them wherever they are.
The refugees' journey is not finished when they arrive in the camp. Its not even finished if they make it to the UK. They still need essentials such as food, clothing and heating as well as emotional support.
You can help by providing funds for crisis support for refugees whether in France or the UK.
If you would like to become an independent volunteer in the camp in Grande-Synthe, visit www.dunkirkcamp.com for more information.
You can also put pressure on the government to change its policy on the Refugee Crisis by contacting your MP.
Thank you for your support.
