Campaign Story
Hi, my name is Tarcila and I have created this campaign to help a lovely Brazilian lady whom I met in England. Her name is Cristiane Pezzuol.
Unfortunately, at the end of last year, Cris found out she has Stomach Cancer. She has started Chemotherapy and is waiting for surgery to remove her stomach and hopefully stop the cancer cells from spreading. Cris's wish is to have her family (son and daughter) to accompany her during this massive operation. The surgery is expected to happen in March at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
Cris has helped save lives for more than 20 years. While in Brazil, she worked as a paramedic for SAMU (The Brazilian public emergency service). That is what made her so brave and strong. She is one of the most positive people I have ever met. She is battling the disease with a large and beautiful smile in her face as you can see from her picture. However, because of the treatment's side-effects, she is unable to work and she is currently living on donations from family and friends.
The 3K target will help with the costs of flight tickets from Brazil to the UK and living costs for one or two months for her children. It will also be used to help with Cris' monthly expenses. Any amount of money will be much appreciated.
