Did you know that 103 in every 1000 pregnancies in Kenya is attributed to girls between 15 and 19 years. Did you know that majority of these pregnancies are as a result of sexual abuse by relatives and neighbors who take advantage of these innocent and young girls? Since most of these girls live in abject poverty, they would rather procure an abortion than give birth. After pregnancy, the dreams of these girls get shattered
Njoo dada Trust in Kenya runs a safe house for teenage mothers in crisis. While in the home, the teenage mums learn some skills while others go to school and college. Apart from giving these girls a chance to pursue their dreams again, we offer psycho-social support as they transition into parenting.
Njoo dada is currently renting a space for the teen mothers who need safety. we would like to buy a 4 bedroom house for this purpose at a cost of KSH 12 Million in the peri- urban area of Nairobi. this house will also be used as a skills training centre for the mothers as they transition into the society
