My daughter Lisa was born with cerebral palsy, weighing lessthan 3 pounds and measuring 15.35 inches. She is unable to walk or stand without help, and she battles everyday with the challenges that have been placed upon her but she doesn't let it hold her back from pursuing her dreams. Her biggest passion are horses as they have given her freedom she otherwise does not have. Starting with ponies, in the picture here with Rusty. At age 10 Lisa was able to buy a horse from her own saved up money, Synderella, a beautiful mare that took her through her first years of riding independently. With Synderella Lisa won her first trophy taking 1st place in the London Bridge Days Parade. RIP Synderella, we lost her due to colic. Her next horse Big Shot came from Texas, from Fallon Taylor, one of the top barrel racers in the world standings. With Big Shot Lisa won 1st place in the Annual London Bridge Days Parade in 2013. She recently got another horse, Walter, who is very gentle and laid back. Lisa now wants to help other special needs people and Disabled Veterans experience the same joy of being on the back of a horse and being able to move freely through her therapeutic horseback riding program with her two horses. Her organization is called Hoofbeats from Heaven Inc. She later also wants to train horses for people with special needs as her career. The challenge for her is that her current motorized chair just wasn't designed for this kind of outdoors activity. She gets stuck on the gravel roads and cannot access the stalls or the arena where she will hold the therapeutic riding at all due to deep soft ground. Basically she is limited to hard surface roads only. I came across a Tankchair and watched in awe to see how this Tankchair could so change her life and make her dream of helping others with disabilities through equine therapy come true.
