COVID19 Affected Single Mom Wish to Start a New Life in Hometown Province

Hi! I hope you and your loved ones are all in good health despite the current COVID-19 pandemic.

My name is Janice and I grew up in a 4th class municipality in the province of Bukidnon, Philippines. I went to Pasig City, Metro Manila a little more than three years ago to try my luck as a hair and makeup artist (https://www.facebook.com/MakeupByJanColago). Things were going well with my career at the latter part of last year as I have started to gain a number of clients to do their hair & makeup for their debut/weddings..

Then suddenly my world came crashing down because of the COVID-19 pandemic situation. I am one of those who were severely hit by this situation because of work/events cancellations. I am not a regular in any company or agency. My work is on a per project/event basis which I heavily rely on. I lost my sole source of income and what little remains of my savings are gone now and I am desperate. Besides myself, I have to support my six year old daughter who is also living with me.

My future in this metropolitan city which once looked bright is now uncertain. The industry I'm in, the Live Events industry, is seen to be the last to recover which makes me face months of uncertainty. It is not easy for me to do this but at the moment given the situation, my capacity, and financial status, I do not know what else I can do except to ask for your support.

I'll be settling my obligations and leave the city on a clean slate. Me and my daughter will go back to our province and use the funds to ride out this crisis and try to survive. Part of the support I'll be getting will be used to help some of our indigent neighbors as well as friends in the industry who were at the same plight like me. Your support will also allow me to explore opportunities in our neighboring provincial cities and start anew.
