Our country is currently under lockdown. We are a NPO playing a small part in the fight to eradicate the coronavirus pandemic. We currently raise funds through the sale of masks and use the proceeds to provide masks to other NPO's, civil servants and the poor.
We realise that this is not enough and need to do so much more. On the 27th March along with sponsors we fed lunch and provided masks to El Roi baby home, SPCA, Genesis care centre, Safe place and Reinhard's place. Unfortunately what we are doing is only helping a few from a population of 722000 in the Ugu District.
There are thousands of people who live from hand to mouth and without an income... how are they going to survive? We aim to raise money for food parcels, food for animal shelters and more NPO's during this difficult time.
Currently we are sitting with hungry people, parents who come and tell us how their kids have nothing to eat. We need to act faster, especially for families with kids. We have been supplying the bulk of the masks down here and we just don't have the means to provide all the people with food as well. We desperately need help.
