Covid-19 Medical supplies for Umzingwane

COVID-19 global pandemic has claimed first life in Zimbabwe and 1 infection recorded. There is a great fear that Zimbabwe will be hardly hit by the pandemic as state the of health and economy has deteriorated over the past few years, medicines are in short supply and depleted state coffers mean that the government is unable to purchase sufficient medical supplies for state-run medical facilities used by majority Zimbabweans. To halt the spread of covid19 at Umzingwane district Mat South Province, the hospitals and clinics must be fully equipped and prepared to attend to each case. Health personnel must also be assisted to create district wide awareness about Covid-19

This fundraising will assist to buy medical supplies such as Masks, alcohol based hand sanitizer, soap and as well as taking care of the needs of the medical personnel who are dealing with the pandemic. If the funds permit poor households and elderly within the district will also be assisted with food and medicine like vitamins to boost their immunity in case the country lockdown.

Am Mduduzi Moyo the chairman of Umzingwane Community Trust residing in South Africa Johannesburg. Umzingwane Community Trust (UCT) is non-political organization that was established in 2018 by the founders and initial trustees following setbacks and hardships experienced by Umzingwane community by abject poverty and lack of support structures for the community members to realise their true potential in education, entrepreneurship, business and other spheres of life.

Funds raised will be administered accountably by Umzingwane Community Trust Executive Committee who is Mandla Sibanda, Cannan Ncube, Nhliziyoenhle Malalazi, Thandekile Ngwenya and Mduduzi Moyo overseen by board of trustees.
