COVID-19 MALAYSIA UNEMPLOYMENT AND RISING POVERTY

TO HELP THE UNEMPLOYED IN MALAYSIA DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC

With the new COVID-19 cases constantly increasing in Malaysia, the government has imposed an extended lockdown leading to most business establishments and offices shut down.

Hundreds of thousands of Malaysians have lost the jobs since March 2020 and the unemployment numbers continue to increase with the new lockdown imposed in Jan 2021.

The sectors which took the biggest hit (Travel & Tourism, Wholesale & Retail, Construction, Manufacturing & Agriculture) and as for today the estimated job lost is 1.67 Million

Due to Unemployment /Loss of income, thousands of Malaysians and their families have been pushed in to Poverty.

- Unable to support household

- Unable to feed their Hungry families

- Unable to Pay Bills

- Lost their shelter

- Unable to afford for clothing .....

The fundraising is aimed at supporting the Unemployed and their families due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

-By supporting financially to pay for their household and bills

-By distributing care packages ( Food, Clothing and essential groceries)

-To ensure that kids/babies get the necessary Milk and food products.

-To ensure that the required shelter is available for the affected families.

-To overcome any medical expenses (if required)

-Any other possible assistance which may be required by the unemployed / or their families.
