COTTON CANDY helps cancer patients

My name is Sheila Lindhorst. I proudly serve as a Lions Club member. I am raising funds to purchase a cotton candy machine, that will fund free gas cards to people with cancer who travel out of town for treatments. Our city we live in does NOT offer radiation, causing patients to travel to Tucson or Phoenix for proper treatment. Many have to choose to not receive treatments because they simply cannot afford travel expenses. 6 months ago, another Lion member and myself raised $2400. With this money we purchased $50 gas cards. The response was overwhelming! We would like to continue helping those in need.

We would like to purchase a cotton candy machine, and use funds derived from sales to continously fund the gas card program. Currently, our club hosts/ participates in 14 major events a year. These are BIG oppurtunities to raise money!

I will work hard to raise these funds, as I have seen first hand the NEED in our community.
