Costa Rica Volunteer Work

Hi Everyone! 

This summer i am participating in a volunteer trip to Costa Rica! I will be working on a sea turtle conservation helping gain research on sea turtles as well as protect new unhatched eggs and help the new sea turtles find the ocean for the first time. Sea turtles are very quickly going extinct and we currently know next to nothing about their first 25 years of life. We are trying to change this. 

On the side of the sea turtle conservation we will also be helping teach English to children in schools and work with communities on many different projects in the community. These are communities that have reached out and asked for assistance.

I will be gaining leadership experience as well as having many other incredible opportunities to learn Spanish, live with a host family and really understand their way of life, broaden my cultural horizons, and hopefully help to shape a path full of many other volunteer experiences for my future.
