The Twinsburg Police Association has teamed up with the Twinsburg VFW Post 4929, Twinsburg Fire Dept and the City of Twinsburg to obtain funding for the "Cost of Freedom Tribute Wall". The cost of the wall is $15,000. A small price to pay tribute to those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice to ensure our safety and freedoms. The City of Twinsburg has paid the $5,000 to reserve the wall for July 1st-5th of 2015. We are now in the process of collecting the remaining $10,000. The Twinsburg Police Association will be collecting donations throughout the next two years.
The You Tube Links are a reminder of who we are remembering( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyXYot6wHuE ) and an example of the "Cost of Freedom" wall ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=She_n84t2Z8 ) we are raising funds for.
Cost of Freedom Tribute is a one of a kind outdoor tribute, depicting Honor, Respect and Remembrance of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country. All conflicts the United States of America has been involved in are represented. Paying respect to veterans, active duty military, police officers and firefighters; anyone whose daily job is to put themselves in harm’s way, to protect and defend our way of life, in locations around the world or here on the home front. It creates a great forum for communities to raise local awareness and the chance to host an event that can raise funds that stay in your community to help local causes. We are committed to helping our nation’s heroes, one community at a time. Create community events to raise awareness and money for your local veterans and those who protect and defend us, one community at a time.
