Corrective eye surgery

My husband has had vision problems for a very long time. He has an astigmatism and was told that he needs hard lenses, but he doesn't have the insurance nor the funds to get them.. we've both thought about getting LASIK surgery to correct his vision, because his vision is getting worse. He has to squint to see things and even with squinting still has issues . Glasses cannot correct his vision. Driving has also been affected by his vision as well.. I'd hate for his eyesight to get to a point where he can't see period. we'd appreciate any help possible
