Scoliosis reduction

My name is Yashira Rodríguez Vázquez, I am 34 years old and I have been working as a personal trainer for 11 years. I was a ballet, hip hop and jazz dancer for almost 10 years. I have always been an extremely active person. For me, being a coach is a way to contribute to the health and well-being of the community. I have been a severe scoliosis patient since I was 11 years old. My spine is shaped like an “S” with 50º in its greatest curve when it should look like an “I”. These curves can cause severe problems in the short and long term, such as decreased lung capacity, acute pain, pinched nerves ... At first, my condition was treated by several orthopedists at the Medical Center. They detected the curves at 35º. I was in treatment for 2 years and they managed to stop their growth. At that time no one told us that this condition was PROGRESSIVE and that I should follow some type of treatment to keep it under control. I continued my normal life as if I did not have this condition and, as I was always active, I did not suffer from any kind of discomfort or pain. Years passed and it was not until I was 33 that I began to experience discomfort that led me to visit the Corrective Chiropractor Dr. Luis Enrique Rodríguez.

This year, my back gradually lost its mobility until I was unable to move in the trunk area. I received 15-20 electrical shocks daily that completely paralyzed me for several seconds. This prevented me from doing simple, everyday things in my daily life, like brushing my teeth or sitting down. As a coach that I have been for 11 years, they were months of great frustration.
