Campaign Story
Kamogelo Makgalo is a 15 year old boy from Pretoria, South Africa. He has keratoconus which has SEVERELY affected his vision.
Keratoconus (KC) is a degenerative, non-inflammatory disease of the eye that causes the normally spherical cornea to progressively thin and protrude creating an irregular conical shape. Kamogelo's keratoconus is In the advanced stage, and his the cornea becomes scarred and lost its transparency. Only a corneal graft (transplant) will restore his vision
The doctors who support our cause will perform the surgery procedure for free. Nonetheless the costs of sourcing and importing a donor cornea are substantial.
Please help us with a small contribution to enable the Keratoconus Foundation of South Africa to help him
A small contribution is not going to change your world but it is going to change the world for him.

Update posted by Russell Nugent at 03:23 pmCovering 250km on foot through the Kalahari carrying everything I needed (food, clothes, etc) proved to be as tough as I expected. After a careful start, I was by the end of the week, able to move up to the sharp end of the race finishing in a very satisfying. . . . .
