Cordillera Chamber Singers

Good Day!

The CORDILLERA CHAMBER SINGERS (CCS) has been chosen as one of the performers for the 5^TH SINGAPORE INTERNATIONAL CHORAL FESTIVAL 2018last July 19-22, 2018 held at Singapore. The choir is only a two month old group and is a community choir based in Baguio City.

In connection to this, with seventy competing choirs all over the world, the Cordillera Chamber Singers won category winner in Folk Open Category highlighting the abundance of harvest, two golds, and one silver. The group was featured in the opening concert at Victoria Concert Hall, Singapore and made it through the Grandprix. The group performed the making of the rice cake of the Ifugaos entitled “Ahibakle” and “Agnus Dei” (Lamb of God) at the Esplanade Theaters on the Bay, Singapore. The performances of the group paved way to see the beauty and culture of the highlands.

We are much honored to report this rare opportunity and did not disappoint the country. We were also invited this October 14-22, 2018 in Beijing, China and on July 2019 in Bali, Indonesia. We are seeking for the financial and moral support of the government and the community of the Philippines in spreading the unique cultural diversity of the highlands (Cordillera) through singing and music to the world.
