CORAM DEO CHILDREN’S HOME NEEDS YOUR HELP!

We are a children's home located in Coffee Bay, a safe place where South African abandoned and abused kids can start a new life.

Our family composed by 20 kids, 2 dedicated mamas and enthusiastic volunteers, is now ready to enlarge its horizon!

The house, that hosted many kids was built more than 9 years ago and now needs a good upgrade. We are building two more rooms where our girls will sleep, a new living area and a nice small flat where we'll be able to host our volunteers closer to the children.

Sand, cement and paint are needed to finish our renovation!

We need windows to substitute the old ones and help us get a dry shelter for the damp nights. We must repair the roof to avoid leaking during heavy rains. A new door for the volunteers' house and a complete kitchen that works!

A beautiful garden surrounds the buildings, and we want to start a planting activity with the kids that will help us grow healthy food for our meals. Wild animals wander free in the yard at the moment, however, so we need to build a wooden fence that can protect our crop and our kids when they are playing outside.

But we are even more ambitious... we want to get electricity!!! The rural area of Mathokazini is finally getting shore-side electricity infrastructure, and we want to connect to it. That has a cost. Like the laundry machine we are dreaming of! We want our mamas to have time for our kids, instead of being constantly occupied keeping their clothes and sheets clean by hand-washing.
