COP26: Help an activist photographer to cover the actions

Hey, I'm Agisilaos and I need your help to cover COP26 as a photojournalist. There is a need for independent activist photojournalists being on the field to show the raw side of people's struggles and focus on frontline defenders and the people worst hit by the climate crisis. In the photos you can see how I managed to do that during COP25 in Madrid and in IUCN 2021 in Marseille. We need our own grassroots media coverage: established media have repeatedly let us down and that's why I'm asking for your help!

I would like to cover some basic expenses for my trip from Greece to Glasgow. Also, Glasgow has low light and rainy conditions so I need appropriate equipment. Unfortunately, the camera body and lens I currently own won't make it.

A few things about me: I'm Agisilaos, 25, from Athens, Greece. In 2019 I was working in Greenpeace and then I joined Extinction Rebellion, where I took part in actions in the October Rebellion in London and then in Madrid during COP25 in which I supported as a photojournalist. In 2020 a group of people and I started a 62-day long action in front of the Greek parliament about the new environmental bill while facilitating overnight citizens assemblies. It was called "The Awake Citizens". From 2020 to 2021 I worked in Greece as an educator for unaccompanied refugee children mostly from Afghanistan. In September 2021 I went to Marseille for the IUCN environment congress to support the Indigenous peoples' delegation as a photojournalist. Today I'm travelling to Glasgow to support as many actions as I can as a photojournalist.
