Cooking for needy seniors / Kochen für bedürftige Senioren

We are cooking meals for more than 20 needy elderly people, who can't afford "meals on wheels" or can't manage to cook for themselves anymore.

We freeze the meals, so the seniors can easily warm them up in their micowave at anytime. It stops them from eating cheap and unhealthy things like sugary yoghurts and puddings or packet soups. Every sunday everbody gets a package with the frozen meals as well as some marmalade, bread, butter, milk and fruits.

Although we are getting some food donations by local foodsharing groups we have still weekly costs about 70-100€ for food only. We can't afford that for much longer. But we don't want to let the lovely elderly people down. They deserve to get at least one warm meal a day.
