As many of you may know, my brother-in-law is working in Landstuhl, Germany for a few months. While not working, he is volunteering at the USO Warrior Center. Soldiers from allied countries are taken there to recuperate after being wounded and most of them are from Afghanistan. As the holidays get closer, I'm sure many of them miss being with their families even more. To help make things a little more like home, Beth's Cookies is going to bake and ship many MANY dozen cookies over to the USO Warrior Center (think double digits of cookies).
I need your help ... money is needed to purchase items like flour, chocolate chips, shortening, sugar, brown sugar, shipping supplies (boxes, newspaper, bubble wrap) and bread ... we'll have to put many slices of bread in with the cookies to keep them fresh on their couple week trip over to Germany. Then we need to pay for the shipping. I will take anything that you want to help with ... even your time when it comes to wrapping, boxing and getting the boxes to the post office to ship.
I am excited to be able to coordinate this small token of appreciation for those who give so much for our freedom. Please help if you feel so inclined ... no amount of money, time, or anything else is too small!!
