Convalescence support needed

I know there are many more worthwhile appeals out there, but if you can please help.

I need to try and raise funds to help support myself and my pensioner parents whilst I am off work with an injury.

I fell down the stairs back in May 2019 and landed on both my knees onto a stone floor. I have had X-rays to confirm that there were no broken bones, just soft tissue damage of some sort. I was sent for physiotherapy and have been doing all required exercises. I have seen an orthopaedic surgeon who has referred me for an MRI to see if I need surgery. I am still waiting for an appointment for the MRI. My physiotherapist does not recommend continuing with the sessions until we find out the results of the MRI.

I do not know how long it is going to be until I can safely return to my driving job as it is very painful to sit down for extended periods of time. I have burned through my savings and my Social Security payments are due to end very soon.

Please help if you can

UPDATE (20 Feb 2020)

Still off work. I have a turn ligament in my right knee, arthritis in both my knees along with osteoporosis.

I also have damage to my back (they didn't enlighten me to what, just said "it doesn't look good"
