Sitio Mahamot, Barangay Lumbang, Pilar, Sorsogon, Philippines; an upland remote and depressed community about  5 kiliometers from Poblacion. Mahamot has a population of 466 distributed in 69 households. The area is highly agricultural, and their major source of income is farming. They have productive lands which they can utilize  for sustainable agriculture both for rice, corn, vegetables and livestock production. Their houses are located near each other as such it is very ideal for community organizing. One of the most important concern in the area is water system.

Women are mostly housewives taking care of children at home, though some are also engage in handicraft making but recieving a very minimal income since they are paid on labor basis. ( P10.00 per piece of finished product that usually took them more than a day to finish). This is the sad reality  of poverty which majority of hte population in Sitio Mahamot are presently experiencing. And during the community consultation, they expressed thier need  for safe and potable water.

They are willing to take the challenge of learning the process  of sharing God-given talents to ensure the success of the project that would benefit the whole community.

They fetch water from the spring which according to them is also safe to drink. And also the means of transportation is difficult due to rough road going to the community. The students usually walk for one hour everyday to go to school.
