Campaign Story
Hi Everyone,
My name is Shuying Zhang. I have been selected and accepted in Ecuador volunteer program through Global Volunteer Network. GVN is a non-government organization which places people in a range of opportunities to volunteer in a number of countries. I will be working with a local organization in Ecuador (mostly in Amozan) for one month, which is starting at 22th of May.
In the Amazon Reserve, I will be engaged in conservation of the Amazonian Plants, such as reforestation, experimental silviculture of tropical trees,development and maintenance of the reserve's botanical garden and plant conservation centre, and seed collecting. At the same time, I will also teach primary school aged children in the nearby neighborhood.
Right now, lots of people in the world concerned about the rapid loss of the tropical rainforests in the Amazon. Our beautiful earth is not only belong our own generation, but also belong to our sons', grandsons' generation. I do want to try my best and appeal all of my friends to protect our environment and help other people. I will work at least 8 hours a day to help the community reconstruction and conservation. Every efforts are meaningful support to our earth. All of your donations will be used to help me cover my volunteer fees to Ecuador. I promise that I will have a wonderful experience and work as hard as I can.
