Help Con Allones Fight Stage 4 Lung Cancer

An open letter to our dearest family and friends:

Hello, everyone!

I hope you are all doing well. I am Alice Viterbo, and I'm writing in behalf of Connie/Cons also known as Manang Inday.

A LITTLE STORY.

Manang Inday is my first cousin, but she is like a mother, sister, and a best friend all rolled into one. I came to Manila when I was 11 months old and she was in college taking up Nursing.

Manang Inday treated me as her own.

She was the one who taught to me to walk, to read, and to write. She has always been present throughout the different stages of my life. Growing up, I can say, she is one tough woman! Oh yes! Physically, she has a strength of ten men and at home, she can be Ms. Handyman. A funny lady who loves to make everyone laugh with her innate goofiness. She would always makes herself available not just in the family but to her friends as well. Manang Inday has been through a lot of battles in her life. But her love of God made her stronger. She treats all her trials in life as blessings. Becoming a mother of twins also taught her many things that up to this day, I can say, she is unbeatable. With great respect, she is the first person I message whenever I do not feel well physically and emotionally. I am who I am now, because of her.

THE BATTLE.

Last July 2022, she started having problems with her breathing and was coughing successively. She thought it was just a post-covid effect, but it continued for almost two (2) months. She then decided to have herself checked. She underwent a series of tests, thorough examinations (Bronchoscopy with Biopsy), and doctor's consultation.

My Manang Inday was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer.

The doctors found a pulmonary mass last August with a size of 2.3cm and just recently, underwent PET Scan and the mass progressed to its size of 6.5cm.

Her most recent diagnosis: Non-small cell Lung Cancer Stage 4 with brain metastases. Treatment plan discussed by her Oncologist is Targeted Therapy which costs Php 22,000.00/week.

With this, I am reaching out with much hope that you might be able to extend a little help to our dear Manang Inday. We are really short on funds and our family is not prepared for something like this and might not be able to afford all the medical expenses. I am humbly requesting for your help with her treatment.

We are sincerely asking for your prayers for strength especially for Mama Consuelo (her mother), and her 14-year old twins, Sophia and Ethan. The battle is not ours, but the Lord's. We all come together in faith and in surrender that God is working in the background to fulfill His mission in the life of Manang Inday. We also ask prayers and for financial providence as she will face a lot of tests and treatments in the days to come.
