Stephen McNeff, a renowned classical composer, has written a brand new Flute Concerto with wind orchestra accompaniment (as well as a piano transcription for recitals). It is accessible for skilled amateur performers (of approximately Grade 7 standard) as well as professionals.
The video above gives you an example of Stephen's work for wind orchestra - the Concerto is in an accessible style, suitable for both band experts and general concert-going audiences - the dialogue between the band and the soloist is lively and vibrant.
Additional funds are needed to secure completion of the concerto through its final stages towards publication and I'm looking for individual players/sponsors and interested bands that may be able to contribute financially towards the project.
Contributors to the project will be credited in the score, should they wish to be named; also, they would be entitled to receive a signed copy of the score from the composer and, if appropriate, a reduced rate from the publishers should they then wish to purchase the work.
All money raised is going directly towards the composition and production costs of the concerto.
The following premieres of the piece were presented in Spring 2014:

Conducted by John Holland
