For this week's broadcast, we are partnering with our friends from EC to bring you a special fundraising event.
Our goal is to raise enough money to produce at least 300 reusable masks, which cost P50 apiece. The masks will be donated to restorative justice.
EC's washable cloth masks are made with two layers of Polypropelyne (water resistant fabric) and gartered ear loops. In line with their efforts to minimize waste, the fabric used to make the masks are leftover cuttings from their PPE hazmat suits.
Operating under Caritas Manila, Restorative Justice is a program that helps in the healing and recovery of persons deprived of liberty, more commonly known as inmates.
The masks will be distributed across different jails in Manila, Mandaluyong, Pasay, San Juan, and Makati as well as children in conflict with the law.
This week, we are fortunate to be joined by EC's very own Shrugs, who will kick off the stream at 15:00, transitioning to Bins to close things out.
