Background
Siyanqoba Development Organisation (SIDO) is a non-profit organisation with registration number 185 – 705 NPO. The organisation was established on 6 July 2016 and was further registered on 20 February 2017, with the aim of empowering people through programs that will enable them to achieve their goals. It was established by members of the community of KwaMakhutha Township, who were eager to assist specifically the youth including the whole community of KwaMakhutha with development. This is a township located in the south coast of Durban.

Comp-Tech (Computer Program)
It came to the realization of SIDO that schools possess computer laboratories; however they are non-operational due to the lack of funds. SIDO took an initiative to take over and facilitate the computer lessons for learners.
Program Vision
The vision is to ensure that no learner graduate from high school and primary school without computer knowledge.
Program Mission
The mission is to equip people for the 4th Industrial Revolution through computer lessons.
Program Mandate
The mandate is to teach at least 80% of people of KwaMakhutha Township.
Program Objectives
•To teach learners from Grade 1 to Grade 12 basic computer literacy
•To introduce computer programming from a lower level.
•To offer computer programming extra classes
•To ensure that all schools in KwaMakhutha have operational computer laboratories.
•To ensure Comp-Tech appreciate best learners through awards.
