Campaign Story
hello everyone,
my name is Irena young I'm a global citizen (https://www.globalcitizen.org/en/) humanitarian and social activist, i have engaged in various campaigns that aim for good causes around the world, my last trip was to jordan where i met a group of amazing good hearted and hardworking people who had a past campaign started two years ago and stopped due to corona and other financial crisis..
they aim to compensate for the educational loss due to the corona virus, and deteriorating financial circumstances of the less fortunate
disadvantaged children:
- School dropouts, who did not have the opportunity to learn due to different circumstances.
- Syrian refugees that couldn't keep up with their education due to war/tough life circumstances.
they use a little caravan as an assembly point to teach in, with the essentials prepared only.. simple stationary equipment, they initially had two spots to teach in but after getting financial aid they're looking forward to having multiple ones in rural areas of need.
their pre-covid19 locations
Deir Alla area (amman)
- 20 children benefit from it, a number of them go to school and need to improve their academic level, specifically in English. - Acquisition of skills / higher needs a few that need to start from scratch.
Shafa Badran area (amman)
10 children benefit from it, 2 of whom go to school and 8 who drop out of school.
Children ages from 8 to 13 years old
now their campaign is on pause and we would really appreciate every penny that could help funding them and helping them to continue the good hearted work the volunteers are willing to do.
theyre in a growing state and they're looking forward to opening 4 new caravans to teach in if funding goes as we hope..
