This year Compass has committed to focusing on a new, smarter and effective way to raise funds. Our aim for the year is to make it easy for companies to sponsor while benefiting at the same time. In accordance to BEE pillars such as Skilled Development, Enterprise Development, Social Economic Development (SED), Ownership, Management Control, Employment Equity and Preferential Procurement. We will assist in accordance to your company strategies and planning going forward.

WE NEED-YOUR HELP to make a self-sustaining positive impact towards the upliftment of the disadvantaged and abused women and children of South Africa.

Compass has two Care Centres and a Edu Care-Center in the Edenvale area. We house woman and children from underprivileged, neglected and sometimes abusive backgrounds. Our homes are filled to capacity at this very moment.

Single mothers, fathers and children come begging for shelter and a decent plate of food on a daily basis. Compass also feeds over 163 people daily, which includes staff and outreach programs. This is over and above the woman and children that we already accommodate in our care.

In order to give them a "second" chance in life, this would involve upgrading of skills, assisting with unemployment, such that they become productive members of society. While remaining in our care, Compass has a responsibility to look for resources to assist our beneficiaries.

Education is the key to breaking down poverty in our country. Compass assists students in obtaining SEESA Bursaries from companies who mainly focus on this aspect for their BEE requirements. We also encourage scholars from underprivileged backgrounds to maintain better results in their educational needs mostly this is related to (ICT) Information and Communications Technology pillars which also may include extra lessons in Mathematics and Science.

Attached are some of the technical and vocational skills development projects used to uplift mainly women from disadvantaged back grounds. The technical and vocational skills development initiatives focuses on providing the social-economic disadvantaged women who come to our homes with vocational and technical skills training, combating the 27.1% unemployment rate. After the women leave Compass’ services and care they are self-sustaining contributing members to the communities we all participate in. Creating a full circle effect on the community allowing your company as well as Compass to benefit from the upliftment and newfound skills of the women we have helped. Please consider joining our missions as we need your partnerships to help uplift these women and children out of often abusive environments into a thriving community of growth and prosperity.

However we plead for you to not forget the needs of the children we care for in our ECD centre, these are often the children of the mothers fleeing their home situation. A monthly grocery budget list is available at your request and is used to accurately account for the needs of the children. This ensures the most vulnerable of our beneficiaries are more than adequately cared for as they are put through schooling in our ECD. Your company can become the guardian angel covering a child for R3 000 for the next 3 months. This amount will cover mostly baby formula, food / cereals, clothing and medically aiding when necessary.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO WELCOME DONATIONS IN ANY FORM.

I have attached our Current documentation, including our Section 18 A Tax Exemption Certificate. Please email the proof of payment to [email protected] so that we may allocate your contribution accordingly. I will be quiet eager to have your section 18 receipt prepared for all your accounting purposes. If you are in a position to make a once off contribution, please feel free. Please consider joining our missions as we need your partnerships to help uplift these women and children out of often abusive environments into a thriving community of growth and prosperity.

I appreciate you for giving us your time and reading through my mail. I hope to hear from you soon.

Kindest Regards,
